Presentation of MatSI

MatSI network started in Murcia in a meeting held at the Faculty of Mathematics on November 24 and 25, 2006, with the collaboration of the i-MATH project, with the aim of bringing together mathematicians interested in research connected directly with the problems that arise in the Information Society. In particular, it includes, among others, the following topics: Cryptology, Codification and Data Storage. Following this meeting, the following preliminary report was prepared detailing the spirit of formation of this network. The network has been funded by projects MTM2006-28247-E, MTM2008-03268-E and MTM2011-13856-E by the Ministry of Science and Innovation. Currently it is being funded in the period 2015-2017 by the Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness of the Government of Spain within the call for Networks of Excellence, funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) through the project MTM2015-69138-REDT.
